Just for the record, I was one of those "disappointed writers."

Every time I get the email saying, “Thank you so much for this nomination. This story was not selected for Boost,” I am annoyed and depressed in equal measure. It means I don’t understand the system. It means I haven’t figured out how to get to the top 10%. (And it means a disappointed writer, which I also hate.)

Just for the record, I was one of those "disappointed writers." But I was only disappointed for a minute - knowing you thought my story was worth a nomm soothed my fragile writer's ego.
