My default is to be nice about it.

Do not just leave the armrest up and be okay with the fact that your seatmate’s flesh will be pressed against your own flesh for the duration of the flight because it may be uncomfortable but it won’t kill you to be nice about it.

My default is to be nice about it. I do admit to scanning fellow passengers at the gate in hopes my seat mates will not invade my space.
