This piece made me laugh and cry. It's beautifully written. I can relate on many levels. I sat vigil with my mom when I was 23 years old. You're right cancer is a horrible way to die. Years later I followed behind my mother-in-law as she zoomed through the aisles of the grocery store on her pink electric scooter. Thank you for sharing this story.
