This story made me smile and made me think. You're so right this world does not make living with pain, visible or not, easy to do. I experienced airports while negotiating recovery from a broken ankle. It was prior to Covid with seating somewhat available - but usually taken by those with no visible pain - at the time I was annoyed - I could barely put weight on my left foot and there was not one seat available. Wish I would've thought of the ladies room!
